Also known as LG SteamDishwasher LDF8874ST, the LDF8874ST boasts of the belt-free Inverter Direct Drive motor, which LG says will let you save on water and energy consumption, while it uses LoDecibel Quiet Operation technology, which contributes to getting this dishwasher grouped with the more silent types (usually in the 40- to 45-db range), coming in at a rather low 42-decibel score. It also has a 10-year warranty on its Direct Drive motor, but only one boring year on labor, which kind of curbs our enthusiasm.
