Description:
Does the new iPad Mini bring sufficient improvements to its predecessor to make it worthy of its "3" moniker? As it turns out, Apple charges around a hundred dollars more for three new features in the Mini 3: the Touch ID home button, the upgraded operating system (iOS 8), and the gold color option. Almost everything else -- from its aluminum frame and display features (7.9-inch, 2048 x 1536 pixels Retina display) to its dual-core Apple A7 processor and 5-megapixel camera -- remained as they were in the iPad Mini 2. Hence, we think that perhaps it makes more sense to just go for the much thinner and more powerful iPad Air 2 or the sleeker iPhone 6 Plus if the price difference is not much of an issue.
