Description:
Combining Samsung's hardware with Barnes & Noble's NOOK software, this 7-inch tablet is built for e-reading and media consumption. On the outside, it shows no obvious difference from the regular Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and the same is true for its inner components. On paper, it trails most competitors with its quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, 4000mAh battery, and its paltry 8GB memory. Quite annoyingly, it also has a lower (1280 x 800) display resolution than the older NOOK HD+ which had 1920 x 1280 pixels. Moreover, there are quite a few cheaper tablets with better specs that can easily access NOOK apps and content via Google Play. With that, it seems that Samsung is simply giving consumers a choice between extra content and better performance.
Also called Samsung Tab NOOK.
